Interviewed Dec 2011 in Atlanta, GA (took 4+ weeks)
Had an initial phone interview with the Sr. Analyst and asked me to complete a brief overview of a company. After I submitted my analysis I had another conversation with the Sr. Analyst. After that I was asked to come into the office to meet with the Sr. Analyst and two Associate's. The questions were mostly centered around my interest in the markets. The conversation quickly turned to my knowledge of technicals (ROE v. Operating Margin; how to compute depreciation, definitions and usage of key multiples EBITDA, EV/EBITDA, etc.)
Overall, the interview was fairly laid back and really just wanted to see if i had a strong interest in the stock market and if I knew some fairly basic accounting and valuation principles.

Interview was a typical plain jane type of interview. Tell me about yourself. Tell me a time when you were faced with a challenge. How did you overcome it? What skills do you have?

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Saint Petersburg, FL (took 2 days)
Very informal interview process. Their main concern is about acquiring the best person with the right attitude that fits the culture at the firm. I stumbled upon Raymond James at a career fair, had an in-person interview the next day, was given a call to fly down for final rounds. Everybody I came into contact with was great, genuine, and good-hearted. Final round was a dinner the first night and then interviewing/IQ testing the next day. The interviewing is all behavioral but the more it turns into a conversation, the better chance you have. The test is pretty simple stuff but the time limits you have are what makes it tough (30 questions in 2 mins.) We took the Wonderlic as well.
All in all, I really liked the interview process. It was fun and refreshing compared to other ones. I received an offer over Spring Break which was great and I accepted.

Interviewed Jan 2011 (took 6 weeks)
The interview process took a lot of time. There was an hour phone interview, an online personality test done offsite, an onsite test (2 1/2 hours), and a onsite panel style interview. The questions were behavioral based.

They have a very intense interview process. A lot of different stages. If you get to the end, have a plan. Go in there with something to present to them showing them what type of products you would like to sell as an advisor.

Interviewed Jul 2010 in Tampa, FL (took 1+ week)
I was contacted by Raymond James to schedule a phone interview about 10 days after I applied for the position. The initial contact was very quick to just define available days and times for the phone interview. The recruiter at Raymond James contacted me at the scheduled time to conduct the interview. She asked very typical interview questions such as:
What skills do you think you could bring to the organization?
What are your strengths/weaknesses?
Can you describe a time when you were involved in a team decision making process and what was your role in that interaction?
What do you like about your job today?
