Interviewed May 2011 in San Antonio, TX (took 2 weeks)
I was contacted by a recruiter, then by the manager in my office, I spoke with the area director via phone. The interview process was pretty typical for a sales position. The area director was very rude...we spoke for about 5 minutes while he was standing in a cafeteria line at a hotel. The sound of clanking silverware was enough to make my ears ring. I should have known from the get go that ALL management are egotistical, micro-managing people.
Go with your gut.

Interviewed Mar 2010 (took a day)
Applied online. That day I received a call from the recruiter. After a screening from the recruiter, a face-to-face interview was set up. I met with the sales manager and the regional manager. The managers are nice people. Thing is, they are playing a numbers game. They were just looking to hire between 8-10 people. Very easy interview. The managers and recruiters paint a picture that you will be making 100K within one year if you work very hard. Not true, it will take a two to three years to do so.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Los Angeles, CA (took 2 days)
Recruiter found me on job website and pursued me. We talked briefly on the phone, then
she set up formal interview for later in week. It lasted over an hour on speakerphone with
a new recruiter listening as well. Basic questions, but also at length which prompted the
hour plus time of conversation.
It was left that she would send the info on the company for me to study at length and
meet with local manager within a few days.
This was emailed to me, I studied intensely for several hours over the weekend..and
NEVER got another call. I was promised a followup call via email..but nothing...oh and
then the office was close for days due to the storm there in Texas.
What a waste of my time, I have been in sales almost 20 years and worked many of
those years in print, TV and ad agencies...what an insult. Why do recruiters do this? Then
never followup?????
Have another friend in radio who went thru a similar experience...move on when
they call they are in sales too....make piranhas look bad..
