Marketing Interview

The process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Red Hat in January 2009.

Interview Details – Red Hat has a habit of contacting prospective employees and then not following up or returning calls. I have interviewed for 3 different roles with Red Hat in the past 5 years and have had poor experiences with HR. Hiring managers themselves have been generally pleasant, but HR is extremely closed and stand offish. If you are interested in working for Red Hat, I would suggest working around HR as much as possible.

Marketing Interview

I applied online and the process took 6 weeks - interviewed at Red Hat in May 2010.

Interview Details – Worked with recruiting team and had two phone interviews, one in-person meeting with several people, and in-person in Raleigh. Initial interviews focused on very specific needs for position versus whether experience/skill set were a good match.

Interview Questions

Negotiation Details – Counter-offered three times to very low offer. Offer will be at lowest end of the spectrum that you provide.
