They want you to say how you will anticipate guests needs with a kind and caring smile as well as a focus on team work and dispute resolution. For a management posiion the questions consisted of pre determined situational questions about conflict resolution and leadership witihin the company and your proven track record...The best way to get the job is to know someone or to work for the company (for management)

This interview process was very simple. I knew Red Lobster was looking for new hire so I filled out an application and got interviewed the next day. The manager immediately gave me the job and I was going through classes a few days later.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Tuscaloosa, AL (took a day)
The interview included all of the basic questions a restaurant asks (how do you handle high stress, do you mind working overtime), but they pretty much expect you to just agree to work long hours...

Interviewed Feb 2009 (took 3 days)
I started with a opening Red Lobster, I went in for information on it, filled out an application, took a personality test, with some math problems and personality questions. Waited a while then got a 1 on 1 interview with our beverage hosp. manager. She was very professional and respectful. I then came in about 2 days later and had a 2nd interview with our GM and she was extremely nice.

Interviewed Mar 2007 in Coralville, IA (took a day)
I walked in and asked for an application, filled it out, and asked to speak with the culinary manager. I talked to her, anwered her basic questions (why do you want to work here, what do you like about Red Lobster, have you worked as a line cook before). I had previous line cook experience, and they were hiring (they're always hiring), so they asked when I could start.

Interviewed Oct 2007 in Albuquerque, NM (took a day)
Typical interviewing questions for a large corporation. Mostly they just ask you if you about difficult situations that you have been in, and how you handled them. The managers were friendly and intimidating.
