My friend worked for the company and suggested to me that they were looking for additional help, so I filled out and application, received a call a few days later asking for an interview. I had an in-person interview to which they asked me about previous experience and availability, my recommendation from the friend carried a lot of weight, and I was hired after the interview finished.
