Interviewed Dec 2010 (took a day)
I walked into the the Regal movie theatre to apply for a job. Filled out the application, and submitted it. The next day I was called or an interview. It was with the General Manager. She basically asked me about my previous work experience, what was my favorite movie, and she wanted me to sale myself to her. It was a very easy, just be normal, dont freak out on the random questions, and you should be fine.

Interviewed Apr 2012 in Davis, CA (took a day)
Try not to be nervous and remember the time availability you've selected online. During my online application, I chose time availability from opening till closing, during the interview they've asked me to reconfirm my time availability and I wrote opening till 7PM. They said that narrowed my chances

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took a day)
Applied about one month prior, and got a phone call to set up the interview. Had to come in at night, which I thought was kind of weird since one would think that would be when the movie theaters would be busy. There was literally no one there besides three or four other candidates, was given two sheets of paper detailing the position they were hiring you for and was told to read it. Each person ahead of me interviewed for five minutes, that was it. When it was my turn, the interviewer asked a couple of basic questions and said you would be making minimum wage, and said when they were going to need you, etc. They'll either hire you on the spot or call you back a couple days later, which they did for me. I declined though since it was minimum wage and I could easily find jobs closer to home that would pay that much...

Interviewed Jan 2011 in New York, NY (took 1 week)
The interview was really simple and didnt take all too long. I'd say around 20 minutes. We went through everything on my application. The guy interviewing me was really nice and seemed to like me. I got a callback about a week later.
I took a year off of college and needed a job to hold me over and to save money. I applied ALOT of places but Regal was the first one to call me back. I was actually super excited to work at a movie theater, I thought it would be fun. Silly me. The people were really nice and even some of the managers were great also. But working at the movies is DEAD. First off, I usually got like 28 hours a week. I dont know about you but that is NOT enough hours. In the mornings it is DEAD. Like 20 people come. I ask around and people were there for years but they don't particularly like it alot. To each his own. If you just need something to hold you over for some extra cash until you find a new job then go for it. But dont make this permanent because they will suck you in.

Interviewed Jun 2008 in Newark, DE (took 1 week)
The interview was pretty straight forward. Be prepared for the question, what's your favorite movie and book. Because the book question was unexpected for me, but they asked it anyway to get to know you better. It's an easy interview don't worry about it, they ask common interview questions like why would you like to work here ect.

Negotiation Details
I did not negotiate cause I was desperate for a job. I don't think you should negotiate if you're going for floor staff because you're easily replaceable if you have no prior experience.
