The interview was very informal. she had no real question. just told me about the position and the company. i tried to ask smart questions. BUT she really was not trying to be professional.

I participated in a 1:1 interview that was on my campus. The interviewer was extremely nice and asked your basic questions - Why Regions? What are your strengths? Etc. She also asked questions that related more to my work experience and how it would be applied as a manager - Describe a time where you've had a problem with a coworker, superviser or someone you work with. How did you handle the situation?, What is a goal you were able to accomplish that you were proud of?, Describe a time where you could not meet a goal.

The first step consisted of a call to set up a skills test. Once I passed the test, there were arrangements made for a 1 on 1 interview. The interview went well, she asked me very basic questions.

The process seemed really positive at first. I interviewed for two positions at once, so it was a panel interview. I appreciated the fact that they conducted two interviews simultaneously to make the process less time consuming. I knew I was a good fit for the collections position and was happy to get a second interview. In fact, a colleague put in a good word for me. However, this is when things changed. First, they rescheduled my interviewed just a few hours before the interview. I was not very happy as I had a to reschedule my babysitter. Then, when I got to the second interview, only one person of the entire panel showed up. It was around the holidays but I still felt that, on top of the last minute rescheduling, this was not boding well. Nonetheless, I put my best foot forward. At some point in the interview, the interviewer seemed to change her mind about me. I could not put my finger on the problem as none of the questions seemed that difficult. So I am not sure what happened. Regions seemed to be a very nice place to work and provide people with a good chance to move up. I don't know if my experience was common or just a fluke.

If the initial on-campus interview goes well, they follow up with a phone interview, then you are invited to an on-site interview in Birmingham, AL. You will meet with 3-5 different managers and go through the basic questions (why are you a good fit, strengths, weaknesses, etc) and the rest is STAR (behavioral-based) method.
