Interviewed Dec 2011 in Costa Mesa, CA (took 4 weeks)
The recruiter conacted me for a phone intreview with her then set up an interview with teh Sales Director in Costa Mesa.I would be selling executive suites/space.I have been doing this this prior and have valuable Orange County contacts and a great resume. I became familiar with Regus to prepare and my recruiter said that I had nailed the personality test. When Ilookedonline I had noticed that most of the team in OC was previously employed by Enterprise Rent A Car. I thought it was odd.
I went tomy interview and was introduced to a guest interviewer , a new hire from 20 years at Enterprise. He drilled me as person I would be working for sat by and watched as I was attacked. The interviewer was hostile, had no idea about exceutive suite sales.( his questions were mothing to do with the job, and showed his insecurity). But I took it, answered politely and kept smiling. Afterward, I told my recruiter I was confused by it... I went on to tell her who interviewed me and she was shocked, and said "He has something to prove;I was afraid that might happen.." Strangest interview ever! I sent thank you cards and after a month of "Hang on, theyre still deciding..blah.blah." I finally get a generic email declining me. Very distasteful interview and process...Alot of leading on .....and weirdness.Only chance: come from Enterprise...

Interviewed Apr 2011 (took a day)
I've now interviewed twice with Regus, both times I had excellent interviews in which the interviewers told me that I would definitely move on to the next step (I make a point to ask this question in all of my interviews). Both times I've received absolutely NO follow up, despite my sending follow up emails, etc. I should note: Regus recruitment reached out to ME both times, not the other way around.
I completely recognize that this down economy fosters an environment in which employers feel that they can disregard the standard interviewing courtesies, since candidates appear to be a dime a dozen. That said, employers (Regus) should recognize that qualified, respectable candidates are also interviewing the company to determine whether it's a good fit for them in the long run.
The interviews themselves were par for the course; strengths, weaknesses, why would you be a good fit for this position, how do you feel about being a "hunter" for new business, what makes you unique as a seller, etc. I got the impression that you work a lot of hours for your commission, and it's unacceptable to be less than 100% of quota attainment, ever. Having been in sales for years, this is nothing new to me.
Based upon my experience, I've determined that accepting a position with Regus would not be a good move for me.

Interviewed Jan 2011 (took 3 weeks)
I have never experienced a more inept group of managers who were arrogant and rude to say the least.Interview questions were easy but company seems to prefer younger management. It is a waste of time if you are over 50 years old .
