The hiring process consisted of a written test which had both technical + aptitude questions. The shortlisted candidates had a one on one interview. The question revolved around my technical area of interest and in the end basic HR questions were asked. The questions were pretty simple and concept based. The interviewer wasn't much interested in my extra-curricular activities.

i had received the phone call & e-mail from the employer, interview date was re-scheduled once,interview was co-ordinated by employer at his ofice, technical round ,HR round & medical test on next day.recd the offer within 10 days.

firstly there was a aptitude test consisting of 50 Q quiet easy... they consisted of mental ability some math and some english
next was test according to department ie chemical , mech etc. Q were basic but i can not suggest some books ... it was all what could be applied / faced in an industry not any formulae based but all practical like what happens when steam valve is imcreased in a column and how recycles changes

Then it was fairly simple and straight forward process. I got the phone call from the HR manager, who called me for a 1:1 interview with the AVP of Apparel business. The interview was at Reliance's old office at Worli, Mumbai, in a closed room. The AVP was accompanied with the HR manager.
The interview started with asking personal and professional background. Then went on about my KRA at each of the places I had worked earlier and the learnings I took from those companies and roles. Interestingly as I spoke about my creativity skills, the AVP asked me if I could draw something on paper. Since, this job was for a buyer's role and for the business side, seeing the creativity too in me, he was thrilled and excited.
I think that one thing struck for long in his mind, as the only thing he remembered even after one year into my job was my sketching during the interview. Rest of the questions rotated about the technalities of buying and merchandising and went on smoothly.
Later the HR guy came in to have a small discussion about the salary expectations and the culture at Reliance.
I got a call back frm the HR manager, after about 10 days and was made an offer.
