Search Marketing Manager Interview

Search Marketing Manager
San Ramon, CA

I applied online and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Reply!.

Interview Details – 1-2 phone screens. 3-4 In-person interviews on one day.

Overall they want to see that you are liked by the team and capable of doing online marketing. They churn a lot of people so if you've got the basic skills and smarts, they want to see if you are a hard worker and willing to commit.

Questions around prior history and skills. A major point of emphasis for them is work ethic and they will ask your references as well. If they don't think you are at least a borderline workaholic, they aren't too interested.

Interview Details – I e-mailed my resume and cover letter. Got a phone call about a week later. Interviewed on phone. They asked me very unexpected questions. Some questions were tricky-made you think. Example: how would you handle a situation where you were doing an important task and then another just as important task was brought you. (or something like that).
