No Offer – Interviewed in Chicago, IL – Reviewed Mar 7, 2013
Interview Details – I submitted my resume online. The first interview with Operations Manager and Maintenance Manager, to whomI would be working under and reporting to, went very well. They understood that with my technical backround in the automotive industry my learning curve in relation to the big truck systems would be relatively quick. What I bring to the table is the supervisory style that would enahnce the implementation of the communications changes needed to improve the maintanance department. The second interview with region fleet management change agent went well also. The process itself was very smooth,a couple phone calls and two trips out for interviews.

No Offer – Interviewed in Crestwood, Cook, IL Aug 2012 – Reviewed Aug 23, 2012
Interview Details – Initially submitted my resume via an online job search website. Was contacted about 3 weeks later and told to come into an interview the next day. Went to the interview and filled out an application then had the interview. The office manager was really nice and helpful and the questions were mostly behavioral based on my past work experience. Nothing too hard. Questions were "name a time when you had to go above and beyond", "was there ever a time that you had to give a customer bad news" "was there anything difficult that you faced at work and how did you overcome this" Was told I would find out at the end of the week if I was to be hired

Declined Offer – Interviewed in Portland, OR Jan 2012 – Reviewed Jul 29, 2012
Interview Details – The interview consisted of a phone interview, face to face with the HR manager, and face to face with the division VP. The process was very drawn out and took 2-5 days to receive a response in between phases. The HR manager gave several details of what they were looking for, but when I asked what the typical workweek was they stalled. Instead, they talked about how some days they work 16 hours and some they work 8, it just depends on the workload. The VP was more interested in what municipal or small business contacts I had that they could buy. It seemed like another level of sales (I am sure it was) and a heavily managed position. They didn't ask any atypical interview questions and mostly were curious if I could sell.
Interview Question – How much time have you spent selling to government? Answer Question
Reason for Declining – The offer was too low, they talked about $140K in the phone stage and when it got to offer they were at $115K

No Offer – Interviewed in Tucson, AZ Feb 2012 – Reviewed Mar 13, 2012
Interview Details –
Called for phone interview with local Sales Manager. Phone interview was 15-20 minutes, basic questions. Called a few days later for a face-to-face interview. Once I arrived to the interview, I was told interview would consist of two panel interviews. The first interview was with Sales Manager, HR Manager, and Area Manager. Questions were very basic as the interviewers all made their respective notes.
The second panel interview was with the local General Manager, and Area VP. I was thinking ….all this for a sales position? The interview was very disorganized with no structure. The GM & VP would look at each other, not knowing what questions to ask.
Two weeks later, they reposted their ad for a Sales Representative. I received an email from HR Mgr saying, “ we will are interviewing additional candidates" All this for commercial waste removal? No clear details were ever mentioned with regards to compensation, almost like they didn’t want to tell me.
Interview Question – Interview question were very basic. Background questions…why did you leave your last job View Answer

Interview Details – I received a phone call from the human resource manager. He discussed different internship programs in the company and what would be my best options. I then called back to try and set up a day to come and interview. I sat with the Area Human Resource Manager, Area Controller, and Area President. They talked a lot about the company itself and what I would want from and internship experience.

Declined Offer – Interviewed in Santa Fe Springs, Los Angeles, CA Mar 2009 – Reviewed Apr 4, 2011
Interview Details – The initial call was from a lady in their HR. She did not know very much about the position except that it was for a Major Account Sales Rep selling new business. After the initial interview, I met with their Sales Manager who was very sharp. This gentlemen had a very outgoing personality and described, in detail, how i would be trained for the role. He mainly spoke about himself and I just listened. He indicated that an offer would be forthcoming and it would be based upon a physical (drug test). I declined the offer because, at the time, the company had just gone through a merger and there were alot of uncertainties. I'm sure by now the dust has settled.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining – I declined the offer due to a recent merger with another waste hauling company. There was too much uncertainty.
