Interviewed Jun 2010 in Rochester, MI (took 1+ week)
I think you need to be prepared to talk about your sales skills. What have you done in previous jobs in new business development and your goals. Its all about the numbers for them.
I think the culture looks to be of a churn and burn environment. They either have seasoned people in the office with 10+ years or newbies with less than 1. Makes me wonder what happened to everyone in between. Makes me question that long term career prospects here.

Reason for Declining
The base salary is ridiculous. I am not looking to live on the base only but $26,000 is a slap in the face. I made that 10 years ago. The car allowance was only $2,400. Seems like they are cutting you at the knees before you enter the door.

Interviewed Feb 2010 (took 2 weeks)
First met with the Area Manager, who was a great, friendly positive guy and made me excited about the opportunity. For final interview, prepared a 10-page powerpoint presentation describing "Why Ricoh, Why Me" and my 30-60-90 day plan. Was told that I did very well, and then grilled for an hour and 1/2 by the Regional Manager about pretty much every aspect of life. He gave an overwhelming (and offensive) impression that he did not believe any word I was saying, and finally told me that he liked me and thought I would be good, but needed to see my last year's W-2 and written evidence of my sales accomplishments before making an offer. By then, I was over it. Seems like an intense and negative company culture.

Interviewed Nov 2009 (took a day)
Great interviewer, was very honest and informative. Sounds like a great job, offers a small base salary, but the income potential is outstanding. They are #1 in the world so their products should be an easy sale.
