Interviewed Aug 2011 (took 2 days)
the interviewing process was very much a straight forward behavioral interview. the person i interviewed with seemed to be new at this although thats just a guess given his demeanor . The biggest problem i had was getting my store manager to remember my name.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Philadelphia, PA (took 2 months)
I went in the store to apply and talked to the store manager while I was there and he just asked me questions that confirmed what i put on the application. He then told me what I would be doing there and told me that he wanted to hire me and gave me the number for the telephone assessment test and said he should get my scores the next day. He called me that same day and said that i passed the assessment and asked me to come in to get the form for the drug test. I went and took the drug test and for some reason the test took almost 2 months to come back but when it did he called me and asked me if I still was looking for employment and told me I started that sunday.

Interviewed May 2011 (took 3 weeks)
I picked up an application in the store and returned it in the same week. About 2-3 days later, I received a call from the assistant manager to come pick up a code to complete an online survey/personality test.
I was first considered non-competitive from the results of the survey. After 2 weeks from receiving the news, I was told that manager was able to change my status since they needed people ASAP. The interview itself was rather short, possibly because I gave a good impression to the assistant manager who gave me the code to the online survey. Both the manager and the assistant manager were in the room during the interview process, but it may not happen in your case.
The drug test is based on random selection, so beware that you may be chosen to undertake it.
My advice is to be yourself, and if try to think of potential questions that you can practice in front of a mirror over and over. Also, dress business casual for the interview and groom yourself. A good first impression is extremely important, especially when you are meeting the manager for the first time.

Interviewed Jan 2011 (took a day)
It was like walking into a Zombie land store. One old cashier probably 65+ was down on her knees putting away toothpaste. I asked her were the store manager was and she didn't try to get up she just pointed and said warehouse. I had gone in a few times with my mom but never really looked at anything. The store is big and at first I couldn't find the warehouse doors. I found the manager in the back and she was piling up these huge boxes full of things. It looked like she was going to die! The warehouse was full and yet this one little old manager was trying to organize it all by herself. I didn't really picture myself doing this sort of work and wondered if I could even help the situation. She asked me if I had any experience in this type of work and i explained to her my customer service experience. She stopped me and told me that most work would be done in the store was very physical. I thought I would be walking around the store helping customers. So i asked "Do you need someone walking around assisting customers?" She laughed hysterically and started piling up boxes again. After a few moments she stopped looked at me and said "We really don't have extra hours, but I need someone to help me around here." She took me around the store and showed me all these different things that they do every day. I was shocked i had never noticed the blue dots and it seemed kind of stupid. After the manager was called away three times, i finally asked if she wanted me to come back later. Instead she offered me a job. I told her that I had to think about it and then walked as quick as I could out the door. I don't know what exactly it was but something told me to run like hell!

Reason for Declining
I chose to decline the offer because it seemed like a really sad place to work. Everyone looked stressed and tired. It didn't seem like they had any staff at all and I was looking forward to meeting some new people. I drive by this store all the time and see an empty parking lot and the managers car.

Interviewed Jul 2009 (took a day)
I handed in my application to the manager, she called me about an hour later and asked if I could come in for an interview that afternoon. When I went in for the interview she asked me the usual question. She then informed me that a new manager was coming in and I would have to also interview with him. She called the following day and set up the interview with the new manager for the same day. The interview with him was basically the same as the day before. I had to go hame and call a phone number for some automated interview about what would you do. The new manager called for my results, and I was hire to come into work two days later.

Manager asked basic interview questions such as strength and weakness, why hire you, salary expectations. Then I had to go get a drug test and when it came back, I started working. It took around a week to get everything done and settled.
