Interviewed Feb 2012 in Hoffman Estates, IL (took 2+ weeks)
I interviewed with a manager and a director the first day I was there. They both seemed very nice and were very easy to interview with. The manager told me that I had all the qualifications that he was looking for, and then literally said "what do I have to do to get you to come work here?" The following day he called me at 8:15 in the morning to see if I was still interested in the position, and scheduled me for a second interview the next day. I met with three people that next day (Thursday), and I was told to call back and speak with the manager the next morning before 10:00. I called the next morning, and the manager was out at a client site. I called back two or three times that day, and he was never there. I also sent an email and never received a response. Finally, that next Monday, he got back to me and told me that he should have more information the next Thursday. The next Thursday came and went with no contact and no returned calls. Again, I emailed him, and Friday afternoon he replied that he had been busy and that he should know more in another week. So here I am on the day that I was supposed to hear from him again, and I have yet to hear anything. Again, no response to emails or voicemails. Their lack of response or respect for other people's time has cost them, because I'm moving on to other opportunities.

Overall Robert Half does a fairly thorough interview process. Usually it starts with a phone scree, then they would bring you in to meet with the division director, and then the branch manager and usually the district manager. The final part is a half day shadow where you sit in and see others in the role do their day to day activities.

Interviewed Jan 2008 in Atlanta, GA (took 2 weeks)
Many interviews over a lot of days. Met with a different person each time and each one talked about how much they like the company, but there were a lot of new people on the team and nobody wanted to talk about why the office had been around so long and why there were so many new people.

Interviewed May 2010 (took a day)
I was contacted by a sales manager from Robert Half, who said he wanted to meet with me in person the next day to discuss an opening on his sales team. Upon arrival at the office, the receptionist was overwhelmed by many people in the lobby, and asked me to take a seat for a few minutes. I was finally called up to the front, and was given a lot of detailed paperwork for fill out in a conference room. The paperwork took about 30 minutes to complete, and I think it would have been a better use of time to have e-mailed it to me ahead of time so that I could have it already filled out.
After paperwork was complete, I was told to wait in the conference room to wait for the sales manager to come in. Instead, his boss came in and interviewed me, since the manager I was supposed to meet with was "running in a million different directions", and would be in shortly. After I met with the sales manager's boss, the initial sales manager I was supposed to meet with from the beginning came in and talked with me, and by this time, two hours had passed since I entered the office. I thought it was a bit unprofessional that the process was not a bit more streamlined.
The interview itself was not difficult at all. I was mainly given the open invitation to ask any questions I had about the position, and hardly anything was asked about me regarding details of my background or qualifications to do the job. I knew that the job was not for me when I was told that a typical day involved 70% of work hours being devoted to phone calls, and only 30% spent on in-person appointments, all for an average first year income of around 50-60K. I was told I could schedule a day to shadow a sales rep if I was interested in moving forward, but I declined.

Interviewed Jun 2009 (took 2 weeks)
It was an referral from internal employee so it pretty simple. They do a phone screen to tell you a little about the company and tell you how they structure the teams. They then bring you in for a personal interivew and you meet with the remainder of the team.

Interviewed Jun 2009 (took 3 days)
People were really friendly but had reservations after speaking with potentially new co-workers who told me I'd be without a life outside of the office. It made me think the balance of work/life was not in their vocabulary.
