Interviewed Mar 2011 (took 2 weeks)
I thought that the interview for my position accurately reflected the job I am now doing, the questions were good, competence based but also with discussion and the interviewers seemed to care what kind of person I was as well as what my experience was. I would say that the interview was fairly easy, but only because I had done plenty of preparation.

Interviewed Aug 2009 in Sydney (Australia) (took 2 weeks)
There was one interview for this job. The interview had mostly behavioural questions (experience in past, my response and the outcome). The best way to answer the questions is to practice, practice and more practice. Prepare the question and ask them yourself before going to interview and do not be afraid to ask in interview if you are not sure about any question.

Interviewed Aug 2008 (took 2 weeks)
called for phone screen
set up time to meet with manager
had to come back to meet with potential peers
came back again to meet with manager and director
it was tedious and somewhat disjointed - it should have given me an indication about the company as a whole.
Interview Questions
typical behavior questions: tell me about a time when - and it is very repetitive

Interviewed Jan 2008 (took 3 days)
Phone interview was laid back. Recruiter had her kid running around in the background. Simple questions like what's your biggest accomplishment.

Interviewed Aug 2008 in Mannheim (Germany) (took a day)
One day Assessment center with about 10 candidates and a panel of 5 persons. Different situations like group work to put sentences that describe a story into the right order; fake HR interview with a difficult employee; 1:1 interview on why Roche, background. Lunch with some (rather unsympathetic) Roche managers. No feedback whatsoever.

Interviewed Aug 2009 in Mannheim (Germany) (took 5 weeks)
1. Phone interview: pleasant interview with an external HR service agency
- standard questions like describe your CV, strength and weaknesses, perspectives on German and English
- specialized questions after experience in leadership and group leading, occurring problems and solutions during my time as leader, social activities
2. Two days assessment center (8 participants)
- first day: Greeting and round of introductions (no self presentation - just 5 minutes who you are, why did you apply, biggest challenge and hobbies) of all participating persons (candidates and assessors), company presentation and time for questions, last but not least common dinner till 11pm
- second day: group discussion (problem solving), personality test (self-assessment), role-playing customer meeting (angry customer), role-playing appraisal interview (I have been the superior and the employee had missed some targets), design and presentation of a marketing concept, finally lunch and ending.
All in all it was a great experience, a good atmosphere and a fair assessment process. The AC was planned and supported by a neutral personnel consultant, who did not take place in the assessment process.
