Interviewed Mar 2009 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 3 weeks)
Very nice people to talk to, progressive, driven. Great environment to work in for recent graduates, as a transition to something else. You have to learn quickly the rules of the place in order to last.

Interviewed Apr 2010 in Brampton, ON (Canada) (took a day)
Recruiter phoned me regarding a Network analyst position and asked me some behavioral questions. A few days later I was asked to come in for an interview. I came into the interview and it turned out that the position that I was interviewing for was a software development position that would write software for network analysts.
The recruiter sent me to the interview because I had one word in my resume "Scripting". As a network engineer I've learned how to script in a few languages. The recruiter thought the word scripting = hardcore software development.
In the interview, the interviewer looked at my resume, and seemed a bit puzzled. He thought at first he had the wrong candidate. Then after talking for about 2 minutes, we realized that the HR recruiting had no idea how to do their job.
We shook hands, and he apologized for wasting my day.

Interviewed Oct 2008 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2 weeks)
I was initially contacted by a recruting firm for a position that completely matched up with all of my experience and education, unlike many times where recruiters will contact you for any position that even slightly meets your background. I was hesitant at first, but when they started mentioning money I became more interested as it was several thousand dollars higher than my current position. After some back and forth with the recruiter, an interview was set up.
Due to already having a job I had to get them to be somewhat flexible with the interview time as I couldn't guarantee that I would make it on time. The interview was set up for 4:15pm and despite my best efforts, could not make it until 4:20pm, though that was somewhat due to them having 3 buildings in the same location and i went to the wrong one at first. Despite me being 5 minutes late, the interviewer was over 20 minutes late.
While the interview was initially set up with an HR rep, I was interviewed by a project manager who I would have been working closely with during my role. The interview seemed to go quite well as I was able to answer each of his questions in great deal, showcasing my experience and education for each situation. I was more technical than the interviewer so tried to keep my answers in layman's terms.
The interview rapped up in about 30 minutes and after hearing more about the role from the interviewer, I was quite excited as it really seemed like the ideal role for me. I touched base with the recruiter to let them know I thought it went great and they reached out to me late into the evening to talk about how it went. I also sent a letter to the interviewer and the HR rep who set up the interview to let them know how excited I was about the opportunity and to thank them for their time to meet with me.
A week after the interview I had not heard from either the company or the recruiter so I touched base with the recruiter who after some back and forth, told me that they were not interested but he had not details as to why. In typical recruiter fashion, they were bending over backwards to touch base with me before the interview process, but after it was established the firm wasn't interested in presenting this opportunity to me, it was very hard to touch base with them. After a few more days went by, I the recruiter told me they heard from their boss who said "the interviewer thought he might not be technical enough", which was quite ironic considering I was more technical than them and really dulled down my expertise based on wanted them to understand everything I was talking about.
Overall, a bad experience as most are when dealing with recruiters as they seem to be your best friend while you are in consideration and then can not be reached when you are no longer in consideration, even for something as simple as some feedback.
