Interviewed Mar 2012 (took 5 weeks)
Applied online. A phone interview, fully technical. Shortlisted for Assessment Day. It took 5 hours on Assessment day. Started with a presentation about myself infront of 5 Managers from different sections of Rolls Royce. Then a team exercise to build a tower from spaghetti sticks. After that a 1:1 technical interview, which was no doubt difficult. And then SHL test consisting of basic Maths and English reading. Maths was very basic with Percentages and Ratios but English was a bit confusing. Shortlisted after Assessment day for a panel interview, which was all based on previous experience and technical knowledge of the field applied for.

Interviewed Feb 2012 (took 1+ week)
Interview depends on the divison, but some questions were directed towards the specific industry. Most questions were behavioral and very general, spoke with some great people there. Few specific or technical questions, most were directed towards broader industry trends.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in Derby, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
Asked to get there for 8 am, they kept us waiting for an hour in the lobby. Day started with three 1:1 interviews. Which included a presentation. Group exercise was to build a bridge, daunting with about 20 people just watching you. Didn't find interviewers welcoming.

Interviewed Mar 2012 (took 4+ weeks)
1 phone interview (so far): Questions were very technical. Focusing on establishing my strengths and core interests. Interview started by asking me to summarize my work history. The 2 interviewers then asked specific questions on what i had done. They were intrested in knowing what engineering tools and processes were followed and used to reach the conclusions noted (on the CV). Was also asked what areas i would like to focus on while at RR.
Received email confirmation today for next phase (face-to-face interview).
If successful, Its been explained that a 3rd and final interview (at what will be my work location) will be scheduled.
