Interviewed Jul 2010 (took 3 months)
was pretty ok. The HR was nice, but certainly inexperienced. Kept asking me the same stuff when she first met me. Managers also keep asking the same questions. Can get quite tiring. In addition, it appears that I need to keep following up as it takes a while to hear back from them.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 6 weeks)
The most amateur interview I've had in years. The company should be embarassed. The interviewer would call me back weeks after I promptly called her back (happened a few times). She said she was busy, and looking at her Linkedin profile, I probably was interferring with her beach trip. She wanted brief and at the same time detailed answers to about 8 questions asked at the same time! It reminds me of a Simpsons episode where the character asked for all her groceries to go into one bag and also be light. Arrogant and condescending she told me to give her technical details, but then told me I wasn't making sense. It concluded with her telling me that they expected someone to be able to handle 70-80 projects at the same time. As a PMP I knew she had no idea what she was talking about, and became even more condescending. I can't fathom how these people are allowed to interview others, and whether the company understands these people mirror them.

Interviewed Jun 2009 in City of London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
Had a telephone screening interview via the RSA nominated recruitment agency which walked through a set of expected competencies and was an experience based interview. This was successful and got me to a face-2-face with the hiring manager and one of his senior team.
The interview itself went back to the competencies but the interviewer asked very abstract questions, which may have been intended to probe experience but had little affect. It was as if he was waiting for an exact answer to a specific part of the role and was expecting candidates to use insight (or telepathic powers) to develop the answer. He took no notes, had no briefing in front of him.
Was disappointed by the interview and knew I had not guessed what the right answer was ... feedback from the recruitment agency said exactly this.
Summary - RSA interviewer, although a senior manager, had not been on any competency based interviewing course and was therefore going to only recruit a candidate who could answer his question
