Interviewed Apr 2010 in Farmingdale, NY (took 2 days)
I was a transfer from a location in Colorado Springs, CO. I walked in and asked to talk to the manager (went around 3pm when I knew it wasn't going to busy and I had the best chance of speaking to him in person). I had an interview right away. I explained what I had done at my previous location. He approved and asked me to come back to speak to a second manager the following day. That also went well. The focus was mostly on my personally and how I could interact with tables confidently. It helped that my old store recommended me to the managers at this new location, and that I already knew the business.

Interviewed Sep 2010 (took a day)
Easiest interview I ever had in my life. I went in person, got a call the next day. She basically asked "why I wanted to work there" and "when can you start?" Hired on the spot.

Interviewed Oct 2010 (took 2 days)
Initially, I went to the Ruby Tuesday location I desired to work at. I requested and received an application. Filled out the application and returned it to the hiring manager in person. While turning in my application, I spoke with the hiring manager for a few minutes where I was told I would receive a phone call to set up an interview with the General Manager. I waited several days in anticipation of phone call. After not receiving the phone call, I made a call to the business and requested to speak with the hiring manager. The phone call led to an interview with the General Manager. I feel as though my taking the initiative to make the return phone call showed my desire and motivation to get the job. The interview with the GM led to a job and I was hired on the spot.
