Interviewed Oct 2008 in Palo Alto, CA (took a day)
The interview process took about 5 hours. I talked to people from senior engineer to vp of the product line. The question they asked are pretty technical. Started from Java related questions, architecture design, and design pattern. It ends up pretty well. I got the offer letter on mail two days after.

Interviewed May 2008 in Palo Alto, CA (took 2+ weeks)
This was an internal engineer to product management transfer opportunity. My management was very supportive. Having technical background and knowing the products in depth was a big asset for anyone in this role. I went through 5 interviews, each for 1 hr with prod managers, dev managers, VP of product managers.

Interviewed Apr 2010 in Palo Alto, CA (took 3 days)
One in-person interview, kind of a case study (turned out to be the actual case that they were working on and needed an intern for). Received this information in advance of the interview. Advice: ask follow-up questions over email and prepare a few takeaways and strategies for the interview.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Palo Alto, CA (took 1+ week)
I was interviewed by the VP and it was a phone interview. It was a behavior based interview and did not directly touch upon any knowledge required for the position. My interview was scheduled for 10 days after the initial HR contact, and I was told the next day that somebody else had been seleceted, which gave me the impression that the interviewer's mind had been already made up and she was just going through the motions.

Interviewed Jan 2008 in Palo Alto, CA (took 2+ weeks)
The interview process was smooth and cordial. If you are a college hire, SAP Labs invites you for a get together before the in-person interviews. Make sure that you mingle and talk to the people present. Some of them could be your interviewers. It is important that you have a good recruiter who can guide you through the process.
