Interviewed Feb 2011 in Oaks, PA (took 5 weeks)
Applied for the position online. Received an invitation to interview at the company. Full day affair consisting on a tour of the campus, a Q&A session, and four one on one 30 minute interviews. The environment is very laid back and they questions are not very difficult to answer, some behavioral but also things like "What do you like about SEI". Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Be open and stress how well you will fit into their culture; they really pride themselves on it.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Oaks, PA (took 4+ weeks)
They contacted me via e-mail and asked me to come for an interview day. The day consists of 1 on 1 interviews that are 20 minutes long, and you rotate through about 4 people. It's very easy because they all basically ask you the same questions, and they're very nice. All background/interest in the job questions. Everyone was very nice

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Collegeville, PA (took a day)
The first interview consists of a 4 hour day at the SEI offices in Collegeville, PA. You are first taken on a tour of the large campus where SEI resides as they tell you all about the unique things they have done to make their culture unique. This is done in a group, which was about 15 people when I was there.
Then you return to a room where current employees answer any questions for the group in an informal atmosphere. Everyone takes a quick break afterwards.
You are then assigned 3-4 different recruiters to have a 15-25 minute 1:1 interview with each and talk about your background and personality to see how you would fit into the firm. After this grueling process you are finished with your first round interview.
I would recommended maintaining communication with the liaison to which you are assigned because there are many applicants walking through their doors each day.
You should note that there was no technical questions regarding the position I applied for (business analyst).

The interview process was lasted around 6 hours at company headquarters. It is a semi-informal, but structured setting comprised of touring the office campus, learning about SEI as a whole, and then 3-4 1:1 interviews. If I remember correctly, the entire process lasted from 10am-4pm.

The company has a great feel to it. Seemed very laid back. The interview process was fairly easy. I thought it went well, however I soon got the impression that I was just filling an interview quota as the job was taken off the site the next day.

Interviewed Nov 2008 in Oaks, PA (took 3 days)
Interview consisted first of two 1 on1 interviews on my campus in which only basic questions were about your experience and background. I got the feeling they just wanted to see what kind of person you are and if you'll "fit" into their culture. After that I was invited to an interview at their headquarters in Oaks, PA. It was an all-day process with five separate 20 minute interviews. Again, it did not seem too intimidating despite the back to back interviews. Overall, although I didn't get an offer, the culture at SEI seemed very inviting and down to earth with less visible hierarchy than most companies.

Interviewed Jul 2007 in Oaks, PA (took 3 days)
It's sort of like the Spanish Inquisition. A number of peers, superiors and subordinate positions grill you on a variety of topics depending upon their whim. In general, they are trying to see if you'll fit in their culture, which is unique. It is an environment of consensus where no one makes decisions yet they all claim to be entrepreneurs. They also pride themselves on being bright, yet they are the first to admit that the bar is set fairly low. Be prepared during the interview to focus on the interviewer.
