Interviewed Jun 2010 (took a day)
Straightforward interview; asked all the standard questions--why do you want to work here, etc. No curve balls. Company has a high turnover rate so they aren't too picky.

Not much negotiating room. Stateside salaries are low because much work is being outsourced overseas at bargain-basement rates. Company will probably move as much of the workforce as possible overseas over the next few years to keep labor costs low. This is a high priority for the company.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview and a Background Check.

Interviewed Sep 2010 (took 4+ weeks)
I first responded to a job posting on my schools career website. About two weeks later a recruiter from the company contacted me asking if I was still interested in the position. I then set up a phone interview with someone in HR which went well. They asked general questions about my experience and gave me more detail about the job. I then had a second interview with the hiring manager who gave me information about the position and asked me about my prior work experience. No standard interview questions. I was then scheduled for an in person interview two weeks later. This interview was with the hiring manager and the associate director of the group. This interview was more difficult. they went over my whole resume asking questions about my accomplishments. I was given even more information about the job. All the interviews up to this point were very conversational and relaxed. After the group interview the hiring manager and associate director left the room while i completed two more separate phone interviews with employees that worked remotely. They were very conversational with some odd questions thrown in, like "what do you think about the financial bailout?" or "What is your opinion on HP's new CEO". After this I then was scheduled for another phone interview with the director of the group and this one was the most difficult. He asked very detailed questions about my resume and about my knowledge of the industry. I had to think fast for some questions which were standard ones like "Give an example of when you had a disagreement with a team member and how you solved it" and "What are your strengths/weaknesses?" After a few days went by the hiring manager called and said I would be receiving an offer soon. There was no negotiating because I thought it was fairly good and I was lucky to even find a job in the current market.

Interviewed Aug 2010 (took 2 weeks)
The hiring process was very rigorous, including a pre-interview with a recruiter and a timed editorial test. After the test was scored, they said they wanted to schedule an interview. Once the interview was confirmed, they emailed me that they wanted a complete employment history, detailing salaries and positions, as well as copies of past reviews.

Interviewed Mar 2010 (took a day)
Asked a lot of questions about UVa. The question that really stood out to me was about resourcefulness, and whether I could figure out how to find information and use resources on my own without the need to constantly ask them for questions.

Interviewed May 2010 in Charlottesville, VA (took 2+ weeks)
I was contacted to have a phone interview where they mostly asked fit questions and a good amount of behavioral questions. After the 1st interview I was called into the office for more questions to ensure I was a qualified candidate. All the people there are looking for is whether or not you are a normal enough person to have a beer with. That, and don't say anything completely dumb.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Islamabad, Islamabad Capital Territory (Pakistan) (took 2 weeks)
SNL Financials hiring in Islamabad in February 2009 & I was looking for a job. So I applied for the IT Data Specialist Position , there was a IQ & Skills test. I am sure I aced these. Unfortunately, the Management deemed the position was not right for me. However they retained my Resume in the database. Come August 2010, I was called for the position of IT Project Manager (which encompasses all aspects from the facilities to the actual nitty gritty of ICT / MIS stuff). Since I had aced the tests so I was just called in for the interview final round.
The interview was very general it covered all aspects of what I was looking for in a job with SNL, the norm of Interviews. How committed I was to be flexible since the HQ is based in USA & Pakistan is at a 9-12 hrs time difference.
The fact is I enjoyed that the SNL management had remembered details from the past interview, it showed a specific bit of care to the employees need.
My offer is still pending and I assume I should be able to get it.

Interviewed Mar 2009 in Charlottesville, VA (took 2+ weeks)
Started with phone interview. Called on site. 3 ppl interviewed and was made an offer. It's a .NET shop with good product management group. High emphasis on database. Good location and very informal place. Saw ppl in shorts. Was asked basis programming questions. Salary offered was low so declined the offer.
