Interviewed Jun 2010 in New Delhi (India) (took 2+ weeks)
The ST building is beautiful and makes a lasting impression.
I was asked to wait in the lounge and was interviewed by two people. Both of them asked technical questions/puzzles. Most of the technical questions were of DS.
Then I had one HR interview followed by an interview with the group head.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Milan (Italy) (took a day)
I was first interviewed by the HR recruitment officer, for an informal talk, what was I expecting from me entering the job, why was I applying for a job in Italy after a 2 years working abroad.
Then I met with the team leader and the group manager, I explained briefly what I reported on the CV, I had a tour in the labs with them, presumably testing my questions on the field.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Edinburgh, Scotland (United Kingdom) (took a day)
Telephone interview for approx 30 minutes, with 3 people. Asked a few technical questions about what I'd done in the past, nothing too difficult. They seemed oddly keen to stress that the working environment was high-pressure which suggested to me that the successful candidate would be regularly expected to work longer hours than contracted.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in New Delhi (India) (took a day)
Though it took 1 day, the interview consisted of 7 rounds with different people/groups. Some of them turned out to be introductory sessions with possibly-new-teammates, and with no value-addition. These could have been curbed. Information about reaching the site was not given (apparently it is a remote site; it took me 4 different means of public transport to reach there from the national capital).
It took the company 4 weeks to respond with an offer. Before making the offer no one called to discuss the salary details, which was appalling.

Negotiation Details
There was no negotiation. I could have explicitly initiated it but it is always polite on the company's part to at least judge the reaction for the interviewee on the offer forwarded.
To others who are applying there, or for that matter anywhere else, negotiate ruthlessly. Do stay in the bounds of the average salaries offered in the market. Do not make any concessions since none are made in return. No offense meant to anyone managing me, but a company as an organization cannot extend any warmth to you. Things are more process-driven with less human component, hence be process driven in your negotiations, rather than making concessions.
