Interviewed May 2008 in Al Jubayl, Eastern Province (Saudi Arabia) (took a day)
Sabic declared a shcolarship offer for 500 students from all over the country, I attended their seminar and then I took their IQ test and personality test. A week later, only 800 students out of 8000 was selected from our university. Then, I had the 3:1 interview, they were three against me. They asked me a little about background and then they asked about the projects I had done and my role in the team. All test and the interview was in english.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) (took a day)
I was informed by the recruiter that there will be a phone interview. During the time of phone interview were general questions to get to know my background and experience. There were 3 people conducting the phone interview. Later on I informed by the recruiter that I was selected for an interview at their HQ in Riyadh.
The face to face interview was with 4 people on the panel. They asked a varied questions like why should we hire you would you like to move to Riyadh with your family etc.
They informed me at the interview that if I would be offered a junior position would I be interested to accept the job. I refused their offer to accept a lower paying job.

Interviewed Aug 2008 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) (took a day)
The company's recruitment team engaged a local consultant to screen out candidates for the actual interviews. We were given a few dates and times to be interviewed. Overall, it was a fairly well organised event.
There were 3 different people interviewing me. The first interview was all about the skills and knowledge to handle the job applied. This includes an actual demonstration of the skills, e.g. if you say u can build a financial model, they expect you to create one out of thin air.
The second interview was all about the soft skills, the management styles, etc.
The final interview was more about what you're expecting out of a change in jobs, etc. More HR related stuff like salaries and benefits expected. They also requested actual documentation at the interview.
The interviewers are generally very positive about the company and prospects. They made a hiring decision on the spot, although the final package will only be finalised by the HQ much later.
