Interviewed Aug 2010 (took a day)
Walked into the safeway with my resume and told them I needed a job to make some extra money. Once they saw I was going to college I'm pretty sure I was hired. They asked me a few questions about handling certain situations such as workplace conflict and demonstrating leadership then gave me a drug test. Got a call back later that day and told me I had to report to a training session in two days.

Interviewed Feb 2012 (took 1 week)
It wasn't too hard, most of the questions were like tell me about a time when you worked as a team, or when you had a conflict with another worker etc.
The interview seemed rushed which made me a little flustered.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Vancouver, BC (Canada) (took 1 week)
I applied cashier at safeway job fair. It's one to one interview, maily asked about availability and self-introduce. I received a call back, after a week I went to second one to one interview, asked about availability again (very important to retail business). If anyone wants to apply a job in retail, flexible schedule will be preferred.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took a day)
After I applied online, I got a call a few days later to come in for an interview. Even though I intentionally did not apply to be a cashier, when I got there, I was told that was the open position. I was asked a few questions and given some information about the position. I was then given a drug test and offered a job.

Reason for Declining

Interviewed Jul 2010 in Toppenish, WA (took a day)
Very run-of-the-line experience. Generalized questions, interview given by a nice, easygoing employee. Everything about experience was positive... Except for the follow-up. They told me that they would give me a call the NEXT DAY. It has been over two weeks, and I have heard nothing back. I have even called twice and left messages for the manager, and the woman who interviewed me. I have heard nothing. I'm crossing my fingers they are interviewing others, and will give me a call once they get their ducks in a row - even if it means they are telling me I haven't gotten the job. I guess we will find out!
