Interviewed Feb 2012 in Raleigh, NC (took 2 days)
Recruiter contacted me after an online resume submission. A phone interview was scheduled for the following week. The phone interview was wide ranging on my skill set, background, and fit for the position. It was a pretty standard first interview and mainly for fit and relevant experience. Nothing difficult in questioning or case interview type questions but was rather lengthy for a first phone interview. Total interview lasted 1.5 hours.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Raleigh, NC (took 2 months)
It started with a phone interview, background details, go through entire resume, describe work experiences and instances where leadership was displayed, difficult situations handled, etc.
How would you handle long work hours etc. That is the first thing they ask and inform about the company. Your reaction, facial expressions are important as they can really tell if you are willing to put 110% on your work and put in atleast 60 hours a week.
As it is a mid-size company, you get to do different things and can move laterally within the company.

Interviewed Jun 2010 in Raleigh, NC (took 2+ months)
Had a phone interview with an HR, mainly behavioral and background check. She promised to give me an update within a week. After a week, I never received anything from her. So I called and she said the company hadn't made an decision yet. She promised to let me know the next steps the following week. Another week and half had past, again, the HR never contacted me and I had to email her again to ask for updates. She told me again, the team hadn't reached a decision and promised to give me an answer by Monday the following week. I waited for another week. She never sent me an email or called me. I had to contact her again. But this time, she never responded to my email nor voice messages. It seemed almost like the company suddenly disappeared. Very disappointed at the company.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Raleigh, NC (took 2 days)
HR called me for the 1st round and generally talk about my experience(leadership) and the position. Then the manager called me for 2nd round, asking about similar thing. Very general and no technical question. From the interview, I feel the firm has a fast pace environment and they are expanding to New York, however, my position will still be in Raleigh, NC.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Raleigh, NC (took a day)
The phone interview was very informal and brief (35 mins). I was told by the interviewer a follow-up call would be scheduled with management the following week but I never heard back from the company.
My calls and emails to the interviewer and management were not returned. I found it odd that a firm that drives their business on customer targeting and relationship management would have such poor follow through.

They are very honest about the job requirements. If you can not work the hours or make the calls do not accept the position.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Raleigh, NC (took 2 days)
I was contacted by marketing recruiter that had found information about me through linkedIn.com. She was extremely friendly and had provided plenty of information during our first screen (phone interview). From there we scheduled an in-person interview. This took place at Sageworks headquarters. A very nice office building, very interesting to see dogs roaming the office however. The office life is casual but the energy in the room feels intense. Definitely a place for competitive or sports oriented individuals (2 ex-pro baseball players now serve as Sales Managers). Initially the interview starts with a company outline. They entire staff is not shy to how hard the position is, and that it takes determination. A common phrase "Winning Team" keep creeping in to each of the interviewer's mouths. Ultimately, I enjoyed the passion of the office although intense it was nice to see a company tell it how it is and say if you want to work hard we have the product to sell.

Reason for Declining
Unfortunately I would have to say timing was a major issue. Upon switching professions Sageworks was the first offer I had received prior to taking any additional interviews. I had to turn the position over because I was not fully committed to the idea without hearing any additional options.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Raleigh, NC (took a day)
I was contacted by a head hunter hired by Sageworks. She did a short phone interview and scheduled a face to face interview with a representative from the firm. I was told there would be two interviews and a personality test. Obviously, i did not impress them because I received an email the next day from the recruiter telling me that the company did not think I was a fit. Therefore, I did not get to the second interview or the personality test.
My impressions:
Very casual. Everyone was either in shorts or blue jeans. I showed up in a suit and tie. I had read that they were casual, but opted to respect the interview and dressed up anyway. The guy who interviewed me was wearing shorts. He was very polite though. It was hard to get a read on how he felt about me. The questions were very basic. No tough questions at all. Just stuff like; "what is your sales style? tell me about your experiences,,,, " I think he was in his mid 20's.
The office was kind of interesting. It had a very youthful feel to it. There was no receptionist. When I walked in I had to go find someone to tell I was there. There was a big chalk board in the middle of the office with colored chalk writing on it saying stuff like "great job to so and so".
It looked like it could have been a fun place to work.

Interviewed Apr 2010 in Raleigh, NC (took 2 weeks)
I applied online and got an email the next day to schedule a phone interview. I live out of town so I initially had a phone interview with the recruiter, followed by the Director of Sales, followed by the Director of Recruiting. Those interviews went well and I was invited to visit Raleigh and interview in person. They paid for travel expenses. The in-person interview lasted about 4 hours, while I interviewed with 5 different people, all separately. It went well and I was offered the job.
