Two interviews. First one was pretty easy, just basic data structures. I was only half way done my data structures course and still got through pretty easily.
Second one was not so friendly. It was focused on solely on experience with no intellectual challenge.
Neither interview involved any coding challenge or brain teaser. Basically one testing basics and one testing experience. No real chance to show what I can do.
None of the things they asked were in any way related to what I put on my resume. Nor sure how much is expected out of an possible intern.
Interview Question – Have you done this, have you done that. Answer Question

Applied online, 2 weeks later recruiter contacted me and we spoke for about 45 min about my background and the position. Spoke with the hiring manager the following day. 1 week later had phone interview with 3 people from the team. 1 week later I was flown out and given a hotel room for the weekend with the final in-person interviews that Monday. Since this position would result in a relocation, I wanted some time to check out the area and the recruiter was great about accomodating my request.
Since I was in an interview process with another company, the recruiter was great about expediting the whole process. She was always very prompt and thorough. Even when I didn't receive my hotel itinerary the night before I flew out, she reached out to me at 11pm to give me the hotel name so I at least knew where I was going.
I really enjoyed the whole experience and am definately interested in working at Salesforce. Best recruiter I've ever worked with.
Interview Question – All questions were very direct and everyone I spoke to was very friendly and interested in getting to know me. They were truely looking for cultural fit. Answer Question

I was asked by a friend to join a salesforce hiring event in Seattle. After chatting with a few teams, a technical screen was scheduled with a manager who was not the hiring manager. The technical screen was on data structures, algorithms and testing at power with a number of top companies.
I was invited to the onsite interview in a couple of days. The travel arrangements were adequate and I began the interviews with a 2 hour coding test. An hour on the computer and another hour in discussion. The computer does not get internet access. The questions were tricky but standard Data structures - substring, three number sum etc. The next round was a lunch interview with the Hiring manager, it was a hard time to make her understand a different view to testing. I recommend not to go this route but instead agree :). Then there was a round with 2 senior folks on design patterns, OOPs, coding. Followed by a round with 2 fairly young engineers. This was supposed to be on testing but the interviewers lacked experience and this was a very abstract round. This was followed by another round with a hiring manager.
Overall, the experience was fine except the fact that they did not have either a specific position or a mature interviewing panel. They were just trying to hire a good profile.
Interview Question – Testing a search text box in one test case which covers everything :) Answer Question

I submitted my resume online via salesforce.com. I was contacted by a recruiter within a couple days who scheduled a phone screen with me. Once I passed the phone screen, I scheduled a call with one of the senior managers where we talked about my work and process for a little over an hour.
The senior manager recommended me to a specific team and the recruiter scheduled a day long on site interview. The visit began with a portfolio presentation to approximately 12 team members, some of who were onsite and others on the GoToMeeting. This was followed by a series of 2:1 hour long interviews that were a mix of GoToMeeting and in person. I met with other designers, researchers, product managers and engineers.
Everyone was very kind and accommodating and wanted to make sure I was comfortable during the process. I mention that because I've been through many day long interviews and it's common for people to forget how grueling they can be. I thought it was very indicative of the culture.
Interview Question – The question that impressed me the most was when I was asked how trust is important in a product. That question launched into a great conversation that was very telling of the culture at Salesforce. Otherwise there were a lot of questions about my process, how I interact with a team and how I made various decisions. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – The recruiter was quick to follow up and I had a verbal offer within a couple of days. It was a very solid offer, but I was able to negotiate a little bit more. Once we agreed on the numbers, they sent an offer letter. They moved very quickly, perhaps because they knew I had a couple other companies I was speaking with.

Interview Details – The initial planning was OK- had to reschedule once and the recruiters continued to just copy/paste my name into forms instead of writing a personable email. The actual interview was short with questions that referenced how one would approach certain problems and think of solutions.
Interview Question – How would you approach identifying malicious user behavior? Answer Question
