      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2010

      Interview

Multiple rounds of interviews, starting with separate phone interviews with recruiter, hiring manager and a peer. Then brought in for 1:1 interviews with 4 people. Final round consisted of putting together a presentation and then pitching it in person to panel of 5, including the SVP of Product Marketing. Entire process took over a month. Initial rounds were easy, standard interviews, but the final round was very intense!

How would you position reporting for the Sales Cloud?

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Salesforce in Jun 2010

      Interview

The interview process consisted of two phone interviews with an HR recruiter and the VP you would be reporting into, two rounds of on-site interviews with the first round with peers in other product lines and the second round with the team you would be managing. Interview questions were primarily focused on interpersonal skills to determine whether you are a fit or not. Then I was given a marketing case in which I was to formulate the positioning, product-mix, and competitive strategy of a new product line... which in 3 days I was to deliver a presentation in a group setting to the everyone I interviewed with as well as with the SVP. At the end of the presentation you are then to field a Q&A session on your presentation content, which was very intense discussion of your thought process on the slide content. If it wasn't for my domain experience on the new product line, this would have been nearly impossible to execute successfully in the allocated time frame. Overall, the process was very professional and positive. It definitely gave a good glimpse of the intense, yet collegial environment everyone comments about the Salesforce.com culture.
