    Interview Details

    Filled out application at the "apply here" kiosk in the Sam's club. It made it much easier to be able to follow up with some one immediately.Application included assessment to ascertain my level of honesty, commitment and motivation. Inquired at service desk if HR available. They were not at the time; however, by the time i got home from applying, HR had already called my home and left me a message to set up an interview. Interview set for next day. Meet with dept lead for first interview . Experience/Behavior based interview, "Can you tell me about a time when..." Second interview immediately followed with Store manager and assistant store manager. Much less formal then the first interview; however they asked questions to test my level of commitment and motivation.

    Interview Details

    The process was three tiered. The first was a mini interview of the STAR behavoral type questions that seems to be all the rage now. It was conducted by a junior shift supervisor that would in turn be a fellow coworker as well. The second was like unto it with a shift manager of the same department. The final took place in the HR office upstairs with all the sign off and entering of more details into system.

    I applied online and received a phone call from the person offering the position. We set up an interview for the next day. The interview was very typical and I was told what to expect, job duties, anticipated amount of hours and other basic information. After we completed the 5 or so interview questions, I was told that I would be called in a few days if we were going to go forward with the job offer. Sure enough, a few days later, I receive a phone call and I now need to go in and get the new hire process started.

    • Describe how you have taken the lead to get a particular job done. (Doesn't have to come from a job, could be personal, school, etc.)   Answer Question

    Negotiation Details
    I was told base pay, then certain amount is added for each year of retail experience you own, then the network differential is added. You don't get a say but it is pretty much based on experience.
