Interviewed Feb 2012 in Austin, TX (took 2 days)
I emailed Samsung my resume and was given an over the phone interview the next day. I was then invited to an informative meeting and then dinner with other engineers working at the company. The next day was the interview where we were first given lunch and a tour of the facilities. The interview then consisted of a group interview where they tested our collaboration skills and a personal interview with two interviewers. I was very pleased with the way they conducted the interview and would recommend the company to anyone looking to apply.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in Austin, TX (took 2 days)
First there was a phone screening with very basic questions. Next they bring all the candidates to Austin for a 2 day interview process. The first day was a little meeting and then dinner with the other candidates and current employees. The next day was the tours, presentations and interviews. I got a tour of Austin because I am not from the area. Other people got to go on a tour of the facilities. Then I had an interview with an HR rep and one of the engineering team leaders. Then there was a group exercise, which I did not do very well in at all. It was a great experience and very informative.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Austin, TX (took 2 days)
Overall a good interview experience. Employees were welcoming and provided a fair amount of detailed information about the company. Interview consisted of a group/panel interview and a team exercise. Interview was not very technically-intensive and was more centered around soft skills. For new grads, a lot of studying is not needed to be successful in an interview with Samsung, I would recommend thinking of examples where you work well with others as a good way of preparing for this interview.

Interviewed Jul 2010 in Austin, TX (took 2 days)
The phone interview was very basic. What do you know about Samsung? What are your hobbies? Nothing technical. The group interview was informal. It was with an HR representative and two Senior Engineers. They also asked very basic questions. What was your favorite class? What group situations have you worked in? Any experience with public presentations? Have you been in any disputes with people you worked in groups with? All very standard interview questions.

The whole process interview consists of:

2- Candidate was flown over to the facility site to have onsite tour, one-to-one interview, group interview.
a- One-to-one interview: questions were very much similar to phone interview. However, they were asked more into details/depth/etc. by 3 SAS representatives/employees.

Interviewed Jul 2010 in Austin, TX (took a day)
I applied online (Late July 2010) and 3 days later received a phone call from an HR lady who asked me some behavior questions and about my education. She then told me to go to the Samsung Job Fair at the Embassy Suite on Saturday. I was interviewed by a guy who I found out later to be one of the directors at SAS.
He asked me questions about my education and about my previous job. I received an offer 3 days after my 1:1 interview and accepted the job offer 2 weeks before my graduation (Mid August 2010).
