Interview Details – After submitting an application for a Regional Sales Manager position for Samsung Telecommunications I received an email from a Samsung recruiter. A phone interview was then scheduled. One week later I had a phone screen interview and it went well.
Interview Question –
Most of the questions were typical and there were not any really hard questions. The recruiter spent more time on state and local government sales experience for which I had managed two state contracts for a Fortune company both multi-million dollar accounts. So there shouldn't have been any concern there. She asked about my current position and why I was interested in leaving my current employer. She said she would contact the hiring manager and if there was interest to move forward she would set up a follow up interview.
Before you go into explaining your background and skills be sure to confirm with the recruiter what position they are specifically interviewing you for as they maybe looking for you to fill a different role than you applied to.
