    I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at Samsung India Software Operations.

    Interview Details

    There were three rounds in total.
    first was a written round completely based on c. All questions were objective type.
    Then First face to face round. They asked about C memory map, difference between global and static variables, volatile keyword. Program for string reversal (both recursive and iterative implementation),
    How to get to middle node of linked list in one go. basic binary search tree problems

    Second round was more like a managerial round.
    They asked only two tricky questions based on structure size (basic understanding of bit padding was tested) and union size and pointer understanding.
    Both questions could be answered easily if one has good knowledge on C.

    Interview Questions
    • Actual question had many print statements and more messy pointer combination but here i m concentrating on the most interesting one-

      function1()
      {

      int a =10, b=5 ,c=3;

      int *p = &a;

      int *q = &b;

      int *r = &c;

      function 2 (p,q,r);

      print a , b c // guess what will be the value
      }

      function2 (int *p , int *q ,int *r)
      {

       *p = 20;
        q++;

      *q = 100;

      // bla bla bla

      }

      so guess what will be printed for a ,b and c.

    the interview process was very simple during my time. there will be one round of technical interview and one round of HR interview. Technical interview tests your basic skills. Aptitude questions and Data structure questions are expected. regular trick technical questions are also there. The interviewers are mostly not from any particular team, but from any random team. once the recruitment is done, then they decide which BU you are required in. So it is basically a generic interview, which lets you enter any Business Unit as per their internal requirement.
