Interview Details – Had to go through four interviews. A phone screen, then an interview with three reps, then w/management, and then with the entire staff of the department. I also had to create a presentation and present to the management and staff and then partake in an exercise that consisted of pulling random scenarios out of a box and answering how I would address each scenario to remedy the issues that they contained. I had to set aside about 3-4 hours for the final day of interviewing.

Negotiation Details – I declined th eoffer twice because the salaray was too low. There wasn't much room for negotiation, however there was some wiggle room. I was able to get them to increase their initial offer and to explore flexible scheduling.

Interview Details –
At a community event, a student in the department introduced me to the department chair. I expressed my interest in teaching, and we exchanged business cards. After a few email communications with the department chair, he conducted a telephone interview in June 2011. At the conclusion of the interview, he said that he would offer me some classes in the fall and that an official written offer would come by the second week of July.
At the end of the second week of July, I sent an email to follow up and received no response. I called during the third week of July and left a voicemail. I received no response. A few other attempts to contact the department were also unsuccessful. I never received any communication back. Even a "thanks, but no thanks" call or email would have been fine. I found it a bit unprofessional to leave me hanging like that.

Interview Details – Started with phone interview, then in-person interview and then a training presentation and Q & A with staff. Whole process took less than a week. Offer was given by the Director of the Department.

Interview Details – The processes only consist of a phont interview and a 1:1 interview. The secretary gave me the phone call, and Dept. chair gave me a 1:1 interview. The interview was simple, but I performed badly because of my poor english. The Chair discribed the detail of my future work and finally ask me whether I can handle the Job, which aims to know how I am qualify the Job. I told him my preview experience and knowledge of engineering.

My only advice is: Don't be afraid to say a price that higher than lowest salary level.
I accepted the job because I live on campus at the time and the workload is low.

Interview Details – 5-person panel interview; using set script, each took turns asking questions, some useful, many, in my opinion unhelpful, as they repeated questions already asked or answers already given; intense level of questioning; interview took place in small room with oval table, me at one end, and the five sitting at the far end of the table looking at me; the last question asked was, so now, tell us about yourself, which I had been doing for well over an hour; It seemed to me that the interview was simply a matter of going through the steps for the SJS interviewers, and had little to do with me or my experience. My guess was that they had already selected a candidate for the job.
