Interviewed Dec 2011 (took 3 days)
Initially was called and asked if we could set up a time for a phone interview for the following week. I was called the day of the interview and asked some basic questions such as, what did I know about the company, why did I want to work for them, why I left previous jobs, did I have my degree and a few behavior questions "Tell me about a time when."
Then I sent a link to do a video montage where I would answer some interview questions on a web cam.
The questions were:
1.) Introduce self (name/city) including where you see yourself professionally in the next 5 years and how Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Can assist achieving this?
2.) What has been the highlight of your professional career thus far? How could you translate that success at Santa Fe Natural Tobacco company?
3.)Tell me about a specific time you had a conflict or challenging relationship with a current or previous manager. Specifically what was the situation? How was it resolved. And would you change anything about the situation if you could do it over again?
4.) What is your greatest strength, and what can you work to improve?
5.) Lastly, tell us why you want to pursue a career path with Santa Fe Natural Tobacco?
I was able to go back and re-record my answers if I did no like the way I look, spoke or what I said. This resulted in a bit of a time consuming process, but it was better than having to be flown out somewhere in person for the early stages of an interview.
After they review your video responses you will get a call back letting you know if you have been selected to move forward. If are recommend to move forward you will be set you up with an existing field rep to do a "day in the trade" ride along.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Greenville, SC (took 5 days)
I submitted my resume online and was contacted by email a couple days later. They wanted to get to know you more....or make sure you were okay with selling tobacco products. Then you schedule a phone interview. The interview took about 15 minuets and it consisted all behavioral type questions. The lady was really nice, but she never asked me about my resume or past work experiences. She told me that they would contact me in a couple of days either by email or phone. I assumed that email meant thanks for your interest in the company but we have chosen a better candidate. Two days later I received the rejection email Overall, it was a good expericnce for my first phone interview.
