Interviewed Jul 2011 in Chicago, IL (took 6 weeks)
It started with a call from the recruiter which led to a 1 hour phone interview with someone from the Chicago office. This led to more calls from the recruiter and then they flew me out to Chicago for a 3 hour in-person interview at the office with 3 different people. I received an offer a couple weeks after that and accepted.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Atlanta, GA (took 4 weeks)
Initially received email from internal recruiter who told me about the company and position. The sticking point with me was the travel- Mon-Thursday every week for 12-18 months. I declined. Was contacted again a few weeks later for a position with less travel. Went in for the interview- consisted of a case study, and several F2F interviews. After that got a call saying that I would be perfect for an IT position- which would require travel- declined. Would have been a great company to work for if I didn't have to travel 90% of the time. The case study was the most difficult part- you have to figure out what they are REALLY hiring for by completing the case study with a lean towards front end or back end program mgmt.

Interviewed Mar 2010 (took a day)
The interview process in Sapient for Associate level is good. First round being a machine test which is short and concise and consist of multiple choice questions. Second round involves a 1:1 technical discussion which is a little bit grilling but it is OK as one has applied for a position in one of the leading service providing companies. Third round being an attitude round which basically deals with judging one's confidence and communication skills. If one can clear all the three rounds then he/she can make into Sapient.

Interviewed May 2010 in Gurgaon, Haryana (India) (took a day)
To start with, there was an online test consisting of question of your skill set for which you have been invited
(mine was java/j2ee). Following which there is a design exercise. Then a panel takes an interview reviewing the design and questions are asked regarding the justification of your approach. Once that is cleared there is a managerial round in which there are questions related to the roles you have performed and challenges you have faced while being in those roles.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Arlington, VA (took 2 weeks)
Process took about 2 weeks but would've been less if not for the holidays. I posted my resume on a job board and got a call and email from a Sapient recruiter. I emailed back and their recruiter called to pre-screen me for about half an hour. I was then scheduled for a technical interview which turned out ok, not great or bad either IMO.
The final step was an in-person interview which lasted 3 hours. One hour of meeting with a manager to determine if you're a personality fit with the culture. Another hour by yourself to problem solve a technical case study in a room full of whiteboards. After the case study, one hour for you to present your case solution to a few people as if they were actual clients. They ask questions about the way you tried to solve the case study and lastly sit with you to ask questions about your work experience and from your resume.
Everyone seemed nice and pleasant. The home office was in a fancy high-rise and was very convenient to Metro access. The work environment is very open. No cubes or offices, just open spaces with small partitions. Lots of young, energetic people. The recruiter was very pleasant and professional. He didn't skip a beat, kept me informed on dates/times/info.
They were looking to hire me in as an Associate Technology L2. As promised, I heard back a few days after the in-person interview. They were looking for someone with more experience and the ability to coach more junior members. I was told they'd keep me in mind for other junior roles which came up.

I had a previous career-related relationship with a senior manager in the department. A recruiter contacted me and briefly interviewed me over the phone and explained the process. I had a three-hour interview two days later and I met with six people (two informally, but they reviewed my portfolio as well).

Sapient basically does scheduled walkins and sometimes telephonic interviews for out-station applicants.
Scheduled interviews:
First round: an online technical test to prove technical ability. Senior positions are given a design test.
Second round: One on one technical discussion.
Third round: Personality / Attitude test usually done by a manager or above.
