    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Satterfield & Pontikes in August 2012.

    Interview

I applied online on the company website. I got a call from HR within few days for a phone interview with the chief Estimator. The interview was very short and easy. They said they will let me know in couple of weeks. I did not hear from them for 3 weeks and when I emailed the HR again, and they replied saying I am thru the next step and they will schedule a personal interview soon. I did not hear from the HR for another couple of weeks and when I called them again, they said they hired some one else. After 2 months I got a call to schedule an interview in their Houston office. The interview went really well. I interviewed with Chief Estimator and a Sr. Estimator. Questions were based on my experience and education.

    Superintendent Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Satterfield & Pontikes (Irving, TX) in March 2011.

    Interview

Simple process. Interviewed with the Project Manager who also happened to be the regional director at the time. I applied through an ad in the paper and was called in to the office for a face to face. Interview questions were mainly what I'd been doing and how long I'd been doing it. All this was of course, on my resume, which I had already sent by email. The Interview took about 20 minutes or so and was very laid back and conversational. At the end, he expressed his approval and told me I'd hear from them in a few days.

    Interview Questions

    • Only about my previous work experience. Nothing tricky or difficult. It was obvious from the line of questioning that he had not read my resume before meeting with me. Word of caution; you WILL be required to take a drug test. I found out later, that most of the applicants that were going through the hiring process refused to show up for the drug screen. So if you're clean and sober, you've already got a leg up.   1 Answer

    Negotiation

Simple. I threw out a number and they matched it. I came away with the feeling I could have gotten much more.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Satterfield & Pontikes.

    Interview

Interview process was very laid back. They brought me out to the jobsite and explained the progress of the job and where they were at. As long as you asked questions about the company, they would take off and talk the majority of the time

    Interview Questions

    • There were no difficult questions that are in most interviews. They wanted to know if you are a good fit for the company and that you are willing to learn.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

What were you able to negotiate? What advice would you give others considering an offer?

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Satterfield & Pontikes in January 2010.

    Interview

Interview process was misleading. The company was described as a forward thinking company and showed alot of bells and whistles. However, once you were sucked in and signed up the hammer fell and the true colors were exposed.
