Interviewed Jun 2009 in Dhahran (Saudi Arabia) (took a day)
When I submitted the materials required for job, which included a transcript, they were immediately excited to know that I was studying actuarial science. I got a phone class a few days later asking me what an actuarial could to the improve the company's financial performance. I told them in what frontiers actuarial can be applied to for a large oil company. (Which was basically to insure against certain risks that frontier could be exposed to). I got the job then and there, in the health and benefits section.

Interviewed Apr 2009 (took 1+ week)
I was very disappointed. I had several interviews, and the interviews with the individuals I would have worked with were positive. It was the last interview with somebody very high and this person had a very cold demeanor. I suppose it was for the best though.
It seems to me that they are not sure what they are looking for based on the fact that they told me this was a new position and they didn't have specifics for the position. As I watch what is going on with their job postings, I don't think they know what they want.
