Interviewed May 2008 in Westport, CT (took 3 days)
This is my first post and the interview was a while back. I just have a general complaint about the interview process in general and this is a good example of it. I was asked to interview for the position. Of course the salary is not posted and you're not supposed to ask, right. I take the time to go through three interviews with various different people. I was offered the job but the pay (revealed to me after the last interview) was not nearly what I had expected. Since the job required more hours my salary worked out to be less per hour. Anyway, they didn't want to negotiate and I just felt like I wasted a lot of time and aggravation.
Another interview gripe... I had another three interviews at another company and after the last interview, which I thought went very well, I never heard from them. I had to contact them to see what the decision was. Just thought that was rude. I stood on my head to make it to these interviews and to not even notify me that I didn't get the position. They also never mentioned the salary.
So I guess my points are
1. Post the salary range for the postion
2. Have the courtesy to notify the candidate if they didn't get the position.
Anyway, thanks for listening.
