Interviewed Oct 2011 in Houston, TX (took a day)
My phone interview started with a "Tell me about yourself", and then a brief review of my resume. Later I was asked some behavior questions such as "Tell me an example to show your capability of group work" which were simple and straightforward. Finally, he described several positions that might be available and asked me about my preference. The whole process took exactly 30 minutes. This was my first phone interview and I didn't do well. And I got a rejection in 2 weeks.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Houston, TX (took a day)
I attended an information session on campus and they stated they still had a few interview slots open the next day and that if you were interested to leave your resume with them and they would call you that night. I didn't have my resume with me but I waited in the long line of students afterwards to talk to the recruiter who said I should email my resume to him within the hour, if possible. I did, he called me back an hour after that to offer me the interview. In the interview he asked a lot of questions I wasn't expecting. In retrospect the interview questions seemed to be asked in such a way as to gage my behavior and reaction to the questions but I remember leaving the interview feeling horrible because it felt like I had to come up with answers on the spot for every question (and because my interviewer hardly smiled at all!) But I did much better than I thought because I was offered the internship after all and became friends with my recruiter. I advise interviewees to be honest and don't panic if you don't know how to answer a question right away, just take a few brief moments to think it over and you should be alright.

Interviewed May 2009 (took a day)
Interviewer went over my resume and asked questions about previous work experience, classes, ect. Several typical questions along the lines of, "Talk about a time you overcame adversity" and "Talk about previous leadership experiences." One technical problem solving question of medium difficulty was asked, relating to material properties of oil.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Sugar Land, TX (took a day)
I only had to go through one interview, which was not technical. The kind of questions I was asked were general, like "Do you enjoy working in a team or by yourself?", "Give an example of a situation in which you were creative.", "When does the school year end and when would you be available to start?", etc.
I felt like the interviewer was taking notes of what I was saying, which seemed kind of awkward.

Interviewed Oct 2009 (took a day)
The interview was not behavioral (whew!) although this was just an internship interview. Recruiter went through my resume job by job and asked what I did for each company. Then she discussed the open positions and whether any of them sounded interesting to me. If you voice that you are enthusiastic and excited for the open positions the recruiter has, it definitely gives you a leg up.

Think of how to answer questions like: Why do you want to work for Schlumberger, what will you bring to the table, are you able to withstand long periods of work, etc. Also think about questions pertaining to problems that you have ran into in the field, and how you resolved them.
