20-30 minute 1:1 interview

The main thing that stands out for me, is that they never followed up on the interview! I assumed it was b/c of the 2010 hiring freeze, but I finally contacted them the week b/f school started when they ended the freeze and it turns out they misplaced ALL OF MY PAPERS. I was in the computer thankfully, but they lost track of my application. I ended up getting a job day b/f school started. Bad way to start the year.

Interview Questions
  • the gist of the questions follow the guidelines given by some researcher re: what makes a good teacher in an urban, low income district. I looked that up on the web and was prepared to answer questions that indicated whether I would respect the students, have high expectations of them and have some background in urban settings.   Answer Question
