Interviewed May 2011 in Seattle, WA (took 4 weeks)
This was an internal posting so the competition was limited. The entire process was open, encouraging, although characteristically slow for this organization.
1:1 interview was very general. Few questions about feeling comfortable in front of a group, really to gauge the level of the candidate's confident. Other questions related to dealing with challenging or longer tenured staff.
Presentation was set up to be about anything for 10-15 minutes. I'd never done this as part of an interview, and I had too much time to prepare, so I chose something too complicated to explain in the time window provided. In the follow-up, I learned that they were looking for someone who could reach to the lowest common denominator in the room, and also make it fun or personable. This did not fit with the current expectations of other trainers in the company, so it would have been nice to know this in advance.
What is really nice about an internal posting is the follow-up is fairly complete. There is a debrief and a discussion of current tasks and dynamics, which I took with gratitude.
Overall, it was pretty straightforward, but I suggest any newer professional to ask others about what an interview presentation should be like.
