Management Interview

Management
Bethesda, MD

I applied through other source and the process took 6 weeks - interviewed at Scripps Networks Interactive in January 2010.

Interview Details – The HR recruiter was a total mess. It was the most unprofessional, disorganized process I ever went through. Part of this was because she didn't come from a TV/Cable Network HR background, so she seemed very new to the process.

She set such a low salary, then changed course and said they were amenable to what I was looking for, and ultimately changed course again to a laughingly low offer.

The process itself was wishy-washy. It was dealing with amateur hour.

Reason for Declining – Lowball, laughable salary. I'm sure the salary was great for Knoxville, TN, but this position was based in pricey DC.
