I interviewed online. The process took 2 months - interviewed at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.

    Interview Details

The hiring process is very long. There is a 3 interview process, once they have asked you for an interview they express that the pay range listed in the job description will not be discussed until after the 2nd interview. The first interview is mostly about experience, qualifications and a lot of scenario questions. The 2nd interview is with upper management and is mostly a check of reliability, recap of skills for the position and a check to see how long you plan to be with the company, after the 2nd interview you will be called to discuss the pay rate, and then if you are offered the 3rd interview it is mostly a technicality and they describe to you what a great place SW is to work for and offer you the entire package including benefits and then before you leave they collect the details needed to verify the details on your resume. This is where you begin waiting, from start to finish it can be 2 months or more before you are an official employee. Background checks, school verification, references, drug testing all must come back clear before they contact you again. They will also not start you on a date that is "mid" pay period so that could also delay your start date.

    Interview Questions
    • The scenario questions are all pretty general for any job you are applying for. I'm sure that if you look some up online that it can describe the best way to answer for what they are looking for.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
The negotiating phase is very short, they make an offer and they usually stick with it, they offered me less than expected and when I asked for more they increased the offer by .15. I accepted the position only to gain more experience for my resume.

I interviewed online. The process took a day - interviewed at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in May 2014.

    Interview Details

I applied online and received a call for an interview almost immediately. For my interview, I compiled a folder with my resume, references, and my cover letter- perhaps some additional items, I cannot remember. After a few exchanges with my interviewer, he excused himself for a moment, then came back and said he had a position he thought I might be perfect for. He offered, I accepted.

    Negotiation Details
I didn't negotiate much, from what I remember. At the time, as a new citizen of California, I was simply desperate to obtain the means to survive.

I interviewed online. The process took 1 week - interviewed at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in March 2014.

    Interview Details

You apply during peak and they will usually call you in the next week for a phone interview which just explains the job description asking you if you are okay with what you might have to do if you work there, if they don't, call them they are probably waiting until their large hire day to call you. When you get there you must be dressed in business attire. They interview you asking many easy questions starting with "Tell me a time". You will probably get hired unless you are inappropriate and dressed to casual. Good Luck

SeaWorld will pretty much ask questions that relate to your personality and family values. Such as "when was the last time you helped someone ", "what would you say to a person having a bad day". Just make sure to smile throughout the review process. They love people that can work through any situation. Good AND bad, while still delivering good customer service,

I interviewed online. The process took 1 week - interviewed at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in May 2014.

    Interview Details

I applied online, which was a relatively easy process, including a survey, and info on your availability. I checked in 10 minutes before my interview 5 days later, and was called in. I had originally applied to be a Sales Clerk at the Stroller Rentals, but all the positions for that job had been filled, so my interviewer recommended that I apply for something else, so I applied to be a Culinary Hostess. He asked me about my availability again and the proceeded with the interview. He asked me about 5 questions, which were all behavior based/situational. I tried to be as detailed as possible with my answers. It helps to be confident and smile A LOT and make A LOT of eye contact, because I'm sure that's that they look for because this position requires a lot of customer interaction. The questions weren't difficult, but you just need to explain what happened in your situation, and have good answers because I'm sure they're looking for people that will be able to work with all types of people. I was hired on the spot.

I interviewed in-person. The process took 1 week - interviewed at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.

    Interview Details

I filled out an application in-person for sales associate for seasonal track. A few days was called in for a 1:1 Interview. The interviewer was very friendly and asked very to-the-point questions as well as my general experience with communicating with people. After the interview (VERY shortly!), I was told that I had been hired, but with the requirement of a drug test first. That was no problem. From there, I met the staff, and the superiors for the area of the park I would work in.
