Sears Canada Assistant Vice President Marketing Finance Interview

Interview Details – was reached through linked in (nobody wants to work there so they have to hire like this). the person was half-knowledgeable about the company and asked poor questions. There were 3 communication efforts to book an interview and finally, it was happening at 7 am in the morning. Met with the VP and AVP or something, was quite unimpressed - in fact, the VP was chewing gum during the interview. it took 2 months for them to decide. when they issued an offer, i told them that i wanted to run it by my lawyer and they laughed in a derogatory manner. that did it. i rejected the offer and ended up in a much better place.

Reason for Declining – Too many people I know told me about horrible experiences at this company. New CEO is unable to revive it. Future prospects look bleak.
