Interviewed Jan 2008 (took a day)
I was asked if i had any experience in this field and i answered '"Yes, i worked as a security officer overseas". The interviewer asked to see some references; i gave him my references from back home and he asked me to step out in the hallway and wait for their decision. After about 20 minutes i was called back inside and i was told that i got the job.

Interviewed May 2009 in New Haven, CT (took a day)
I was being myself. No fake demeanor. I always practice to be myself at interviews, with a business mindset, the let the employer decide if I'm right for their company. Negotiate my pay rate & hours on the first day. So no one gets confused in any shape or form. My success rate is usually at 90%.

Interviewed Nov 2008 in Cambridge, MA (took 2 months)
I had a telephone interview and two 1:1 interviews. Throughout the interview process I was never asked any challenging questions, nevertheless, the overall process took two months. I had to take the drug test twice on two separate occasions because the results of the first one were lost. The most important criteria was my willingness to work 3rd shift and weekends. After accepting the offer I was required to take 16 hours of training - 8 of which were paid.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Eugene, OR (took a day)
The interview was really easy for me. They did the drug test and questioning in the office. Don't worry, the background check happens, but during your training. They will ask you why you're interested in working for Securitas and they will ask you about your employment history. Do your best to talk about your employment history, but don't lie about it because every single job you've had for the past 10 years they need to have the information on, and they might check it. They do check your references so make sure it's a good reference. The training is actually a good part of the hiring process too. A lot of the paperwork you do is background and criminal history.
Overall: It's really easy as long as you're not being stupid around the wrong people.

Interviewed Nov 2007 (took a day)
The branch Manager asked me if I was interested in the position of site supervisor which had just come open upon the passing of our previous supervisor.
I stated that I was as I was already acting as team leader to help keep things running smoothly untill another Supervisor could be put in place.
He told me to fax a resume to his office which I did.
The other officers on site all ralied around me to be the next supervisor.
That was the last I heard from him on the position untill he called me to tell me that they had hired outside the company and was giveing me a newly created position ( created just for me) of assistant site supervisor.

Interviewed Feb 2008 in Galveston, TX (took 3 days)
On line application and then security related test. Very similar to a state civil service exam, called in for initial interview with branch manager, background test and drug screen. Called back within 3 days and given a job offer and site selection.
8 hours training course for state license and then off to get uniforms and equipment.
The office was very clean, lots of computers and in a premium building.
Personnel were personable enough.
The other applicants were a joke, out of shape, too young, some just were there so they could keep getting the unemployment check.
There was no doubt that I had the job.
My advice, if you want a stable job in the lower end of security operations, this is a good place to get it. Dress well! You will jump out to them and go to the top of the list.

Negotiation Details
I negotiated a salary more than a dollar an hour higher than the original offer.
If you have experience in this field, make sure they know. Bring in your qualifications, it may not get you assigned to a better position but it will put you on their radar.

Interview was really easy, I worked as an RA for my college and the position I was applying for was a public safety officer for Lesley University so I just used my past experiences from that.
