Interviewed Jun 2010 in Harrisburg, PA (took 4+ weeks)
I filled out my online application then i called 1 week later to find out about it and the HR manager said he would look it up for me 1 week later he still had not look for my application so i called again and he told me to call back the next day. I called back the next day and he wasnt there so they told me to call back again the following day. I called and i spoke to the HR manager and he found my application then he told me it would take 1 week for them to run my background check so i was fine with that after they got my background check they called me for an face to face interview i went over there and all i had to do was watch a video and answer the questions as the video was playing. After that we got a drug test and we were hired they told us how much we were getting paid and they gave us our uniforms and they told us what site we were going to be at and that was all.

Interviewed Aug 2009 in Denver, CO (took 1 week)
Besides the fact that I had to wait an hour for the hiring manager to show up, overall I thought my interview went well. During the interview, He mostly just asked me the usual interview questions such as why I wanted to work for the company, why I would be a great fit for the position I applied for etc... He asked what I was looking for exactly and offered me two different sites that I might be interested in. It was between a site where I would be outside doing foot patrol the whole shift or Security Officer/Receptionist position where I would be monitoring cameras and completing office work. Of course, I picked the receptionist position just because I prefer working indoors rather than outside. So anyways, He was able to assign me to a site I felt comfortable and of my choice. Now, I’m not saying it’s like this for everyone because I have heard from other Securitas employees that weren’t too excited about where they were assigned and were stuck somewhere where they did not ask to work at. All in all my experience in the interview process wasn’t all that bad but too bad I can’t say the same on my experience as their employee...

Interviewed Aug 2010 (took a day)
I filled out an online application for Securitas and I got a phone call the next day asking me to come in for a interview. I got to the interview I was not nervous at all well, mabye a little but anyway I had the interview with a manager. He was nice he asked me the basic questions like: tell me about your self and your experience. I thought the interview went really well and I was told I would get a phone call within a week. Never heard anything so 2 weeks later I called the office and the receptionist knew who i was and told me that my interview was not successful and they will not be moving forward in the process I asked her why and she would not tell me why. So that was the end of that.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Long Beach, CA (took a day)
1:1 Interview. Everything went well, all questions were answered with ease. Very good vibe in the office. Was told I would get a call back within a week, it's been 6-7 weeks and still no phone call. Tried to call and every time they tell me they are waiting for something to open up. Am I really still in the running?

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Parker, CO (took 2+ weeks)
Filled out pre-interview questions online. Called for an interview within 2-3 days. Took another test at the office after waiting for about 20 minutes. When finished, waited another 25 minutes to be called in for a one on one with the HR rep. She asked the standard questions that were written on paper in front of her. Do you have any experience? Do you want to sit at the job or do you prefer to drive around? Can you work full time or part time. Can you pass a drug test and background invesitgation. Have you been arrested, convicted, etc.
She had the personality of a small soap dish. I tried to lighten up the mood a bit but she was not responding. After the interview was done (about 15 min), she told me they would call me if anything came up.
The next day I was called and asked if I would work a non-standard shift about 20 miles from my house. As I was looking for some part time work and some extra cash, I said I would. I was again called down to the office where once again I met with Miss Personality and answered more questions and took a drug test. After passing the drug test, I was told I would have to meet with the Security Director at the post location. I asked what the position paid and was told "I don't know $12-$13 an hour or something like that. (And this is the HR rep asking me if I wanted the position.).
The interview with the SD was normal and uneventful. Some basic questions and a tour of the location. I was offered the job on the spot and started the follwing week.
Overall the interview process was standard although the HR rep really left a bad impression.
