Interviewed Nov 2010 in Attleboro, MA (took 6 months)
The Interview was just fine. The thing that upset me is that kept saying I was there # 1 candidate for 5 - 6 months. I interview face to face in November. Never heard anything back.I pretty much wrote of the opportunity, every once in a while they'd get back to me saying they had some delays, but would make a decision very soon. Finally after 3 months of waiting, they conducted an interview with the VP of marketing. I kept hearing back from them for the next 3 months saying they were interested, but never received an offer.
I've honestly never interview for a place like this.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Attleboro, MA (took a day)
There were 4 interviews, each lasted about 30 minutes. 3 with higher up engineers and 1 with HR. Engineers asked very technical questions from statistics to fluid mechanics, while HR asks behavioral questions and your future plans with the companies. The rest are questions you have for them (MUST HAVE QUESTIONS TO ASK THEM; otherwise, the interviews will end in an awkward way without you showing any interest)

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Attleboro, MA (took a day)
It was the Fantastic Friday event held by Sensata. Applicants were invited to the design and business center at Attleboro, MA for interview. Around 20 applicants started waiting in a conference room at 8 am for 4 different interviewees. Each applicant was interviewed by one HR fellow and three engineers individually so the entire process took almost a morning. HR asked behavioral questions such as "describe a time when you have conflict with your coworkers and how you handled it?" "Would you consider yourself a leader or a follower?" Technical questions asked by engineers include solving a simple circuit, finding the maximum space of a fence made with limited length of material, solving a heat conduction problem associates with composite material by using thermal resistances, Bernoulli problem, heat transfer problems involving convection and conduction, analyzing the problems of a real sensor device. Engineers also asked "if now I call your adviser, what would you expect that he says about you?" " What position do you imagine yourself doing after 5 years in this company?" "How would you deal with the person when he has different opinion in your group?"

Interviewed May 2011 in Attleboro, MA (took 2 months)
The initial telephone interview was relaxed and informative. What I thought was going to be a 1:1 scenario during the 2nd phase turned out to be a 5 hr questioning session with 5 different managers with no advance warning. Luckily had all day set aside...and needed it. It was a very informative session where they asked many questions and they answered many questions. They were honest about the work load and potential hrs per week. Polite and Professional.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in Attleboro, MA (took a day)
First I had a phone interview where a Vice President, who is a MSEE, in the company grilled me for 45 minutes on almost every topic in electrical engineering. I had only a little idea what Sensata did at the time of the interview, but I appreciated how thorough the range of interview questions were.
The on-site interview consisted of one HR interview and three engineer interviews. The first one was with the same Vice President who I spoke with on the phone. He wanted to run through a list of about 30 questions in the in-person interview as well. He did not like that we didn't get through more than 10 questions in the interview time. I thought that I had proven myself in the phone interview, but I guess he wanted to know more about my knowledge. I thought all those questions were unnecessary for a company that makes a lot of MEMS-based sensors. I think the interview took place in a big room of cubicles of engineers that they had laid off. The other two engineer interviews went well, but I am sure that I did not get an offer because of what the Vice President thought of my on-site interview.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Attleboro, MA (took a day)
I was invited to Sensata's "Fantastic Friday" interview event. I and about twenty other applicants went through four interviews (1 HR and 3 technical). The technical interviews asked about basic technical knowledge (I-V characteristics, how do transistors work, etc). After, we were given a tour of the whole facility. They responded with a decision within a week. Overall it was a very clear and organized process.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Attleboro, MA (took a day)
limited feedback received from recruiter for non selection made no sense e.g. not sufficient direcft management experience, the position managed at most one person when in the past I've managed as many as 8.
Otherwise the process went quickly and decision was made timely. People I met with were pleasant and a good mix of long service and new arrivals.
