Interviewed Aug 2009 in Golden, CO (took 1 week)
The interview process was straightforward - they were looking for people with sales background. A brief test to assess typing skills and email skills was also included. When I initially applied (a few years ago) there were absolutely no sales jobs available. I put my resume in online 2 or 3 times; however I found that you really need to be persistent (call the recruiters and push for an appointment.)

Negotiation Details
No negotiation; however I was told everyone started at $14.28 per hour base. I found out later that they do hire some sales people at $16.00 per hour base depending on who they are related too - or supposedly their background. Commissions when you start (first week) are very generous - I've actually seen some people quit and come back just to get the initial commissions.
Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Skills Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Jan 2010 (took 3+ weeks)
I applied for a product manager's role through IAC's website (the parent company), and received a phone call from a VP within the hiring group. We proceeded with 2 phone interviews, followed by a 4 hour in-house stretch of seven 1-on-1 interviews. Most of the interviews were a fairly straight-forward mix of behavioral and relevant experience questions.
The team and company seemed to be growing like crazy, with lots of construction, and the interviewers talking about their desks and offices moving around pretty often.

Interviewed Jul 2009 in Golden, CO (took 2 weeks)
I applied to Service Magic several times because it was impossible to get through HR. I began to call HR on a daily and bi daily basis. HR explained to me that they had passed up my application because I was overqualified. I explained that do to the current economy any job was a good job. I interviewed with HR for 30 minutes and then interviewed with one of the managers. With my job experience I feel like the company was very transparent and organic. I was contacted the day after my interview and informed that I was hired. it's a good company - the pay isn't great however the benefits are the best I've ever had.

Negotiation Details
Most sales reps begin in the $14/ hour range. If you negotiate you can start at over $16. Online sales has better commission potential, market sales is more of a cold call process.
