Interview was a phone call from the CSR Supervisor and then an in person interview with the regional sales manager and the CSR supervisor. Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 1 week)
The head office that originally called left a very scattered message on answering machine. They were very confused as to what message they were leaving. I called back and and spent quite few minutes on hold. She had to review my application. They wanted to do an on the spot phone interview, and she was not very professional. Kind of sounded young and bored. Left a bad feeling like maybe i do not want to work there.

Interview process now usually takes 3 to 4 steps.
1. Phone screening meaning HR questions
2. Panel interview with Supervisor and Manager of the department you are applying for and questions usually consist very basic technical questions of the field you are applying for.
3. After successful attempt at stage 2nd, you will be asked to meet Director or VP of that department who finally approves you hiring if you are that stage chances are you will be hired.
4. Sometimes you may go through an online testing tool provided by 3rd party to test you knowledge if required technical field

Shaw has its own salary range and most likely will give you offer within their specified range and you just have to accept that. In very rare cases or in demanding field like RF wireless Engineer they might negotiate the salary with you. With Entry to Intermediate level roles salary is already defined by Shaw.

phone interview with basic questions regarding previous jobs. then a panel of 2 people face to face, mostly behavior questions. there was also a few questions where they tell you a scenario and then you talk back and forth with one of the interviewers and play out the call. it was not a intimadating experience.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Winnipeg, MB (Canada) (took 3 weeks)
My interview was actually in 2008 but the site wouldn't let me go that far back. I don't remember if I had a phone interview but I know that sometimes your first interview can be over the phone. There are 3 interviews, the first is usually with a supervisor, the second with a different supervisor or two supervisors and the third is with the department manager (and) a supervisor.
It took them a while to get back to me in between each interview as well as after the third interview to offer me the job, I think it was because they were starting a new sales team at the time and i ended up being the first person hired for that team.

Interviewed Sep 2008 (took 4+ weeks)
Interview process was lengthy - met 3 individual times, going up the ladder until the last one was with 3 people, two managers and one director. Thought this was very intensive for an entry-level position. Took over 1 month to complete the process and get an offer, then another 2 weeks before the start date. Communication was not consistent from company, but I guess this has to be expected when you're an interview candidate. The interviews were fair, smart, and the people I met were very nice.

Negotiation Details
I did not negotiate as the offer seemed reasonable. May have been opportunity to negotiate but for an entry-level position I doubt they would consider it.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview and a Group/Panel Interview.
