Shell Infotech Interview Questions & Reviews
Getting an Interview
Xxx Interview (Positive Experience; Difficult Interview)
I applied through an employee referral and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Shell Infotech.
Interview Details – Hiring process has simple 3 steps..
Initial Round - telephonic ( to understand the person against his/her CV )
Second Round - face to face or Skype ( Detailed discussion on the respective role )
Final Round - The Management discussion ( Not for every role )
Interview Mechanism is simple and will check the market exposure and the responsibilities handled in previous company and expects the resoure to be very dynamic.
( Atleast this happened in my hiring )
Interview Question – After seeing so many interviews in this company.. It really varies to every individual & his/her role.. cannot write anything in specific. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – They have a budget for every role and would like to get the right fit in the given budget.
Yearly budgeting is done and the deviation is very less. ( one can get a nice increment which is purely based on his/her performance.
Technical Role- Engineer Interview (Positive Experience; Difficult Interview)
I applied online and the process took 3 months - interviewed at Shell Infotech in November 2012.
Interview Details – 1. phone call interview - they asked pretty basic questions and questions on general knowledge. eg environment or R&D
2. SRD - entire day process, 3 segments. first case study. they can ask about anything under the sun so just deliver macro ideas and be confident. second segment is a group case where the group has to work together. ths segment is particularly fast paced and the group would probably discuss at a very fast pace. last part is a technical interview/presentation. doesnt matter which you choose but if presentation make sure its clear and easily understandable.
dont worry about the srd being very stressful because while it may be, the environment is set to be very encouraging. just go with an open mind to learn and to show what youre capable of! the HR took very good care of the candidates and they really made that all of us we as comfortable as possible. so take it as a learning experience!
Interview Question – they asked many probing questions. make sure answers are macro and if possible creative. take your time to answer Answer Question
Negotiation Details – great terms no need to nego
